Hail Damage Repair

Elite Hail Repair can leave your car pitted with holes and looking like a golf ball.  Not only is this damage unsightly, but it can also weaken the structural integrity of the car’s body panels, so it’s in your best interest to get it fixed right away.  Depending on the severity of the damage, the technicians at Elite Collision Repairs may be able to smooth away the dents with no need for expensive painting and sanding.

What is Paintless Dent & Repair?

Also known as PDR, paintless dent repair is an environmentally-friendly process that takes less time than traditional dent removal and costs less money in the end. It can be used to remove dents and dings in your car, which makes it especially useful if you live somewhere with heavy winds and lots of potential for elite hail. We’ll take a look at your car to assess the situation, get a better look at the damage, and apply steady pressure to work out the dent quickly.

PDR vs. Traditional Repair

Compared to traditional dent repair, which involves using paint or body filler, PDR needs no fillers or sanding. This means that instead of covering up the problem, we’ll give you a long-term solution that costs less and works better for minor repairs. If you
ever want to resell your car, fixing the dents using PDR will maintain the resale value, as well.

How it Works

PDR is not like typical bodywork. We’ll use picks and bumping hammers to slowly work out the dents and dings without further damaging
the surface. Think of the process as something like metalworking where we straighten out the bumps caused by hail
or other problems.

The process sounds fairly simple, but PDR takes a lot of skill to do properly, especially when you have many dents from something like a hailstorm. Rest assured, however, that at Elite Collision Repair, we know the process of getting your car back in top shape.

Our Process

First, we’ll start by taking a look at the damage and finding all the dents in your vehicle. Some can be hard to see with the naked eye, which is why we use long fluorescent lights to highlight the flat surfaces of your car. We’ve worked on cars that have had dozens of
hail dings, so we know how important marking each blemish is.

Next, we’ll work on the dent from the backside to straighten it out. To do this, we may need to remove somebody panels, tail lights, or even some interior panels very carefully. However, we may be able to workpieces lose without removing them for the right amount
of access to the dent. Sometimes, we’ll drill an unnoticeable hole if we need to.

From here, the process takes time. We don’t want to push out the dent so much that it becomes raised instead of flat, so our skilled technicians will work slowly and with precision. Using our specialized tools, we’ll apply pressure to the dent to massage it back into its
original position. Depending on the size of the dent, we’ll make use of different tools like a bumping pick or nylon plugs.

Our Timeline

It’s our goal to complete your job in as little time as possible so that you can get back to your daily life. That’s why, depending on the extent of
the damage to your car, we may be able to get the process done in around a day.

Of course, if you’ve brought your car in after a bad hail storm for PDR repairs, it will likely take a little longer for us to get every dent fixed.
The process is non-invasive and quick, though, so even if you do come to see us for more extensive damage, we’re able to deal with a lot
of dents at once to get you back out on the road as quickly as we can.

“Freaks. That’s what they are. You take a chance in having a team come in from the US to help out with our damaged cars caused by some of Australia’s worse storms. Can we get them citizenship? This was like watching high level sports or something. Great mates, fun times. Dustin even had time to shop for boomerangs! What a great company. We’ll have them back. Top choice for us.”

“What an incredible six months we had here with the Elite Hail International mens. We fought hard to keep them from the Volkswagon and string out eleven different shops in six towns so that we keep them busy. Can you say cars come out looking better than factory finish. Never a call back, they passed inspections. I never see such speed in all my years. They run to all villages and come back same day after we think two days. You come back for more heat beer too! “

How many teams do you have?

We have at the ready, six to eight teams at any given time to service multiple locations.

Do you take dollars and euros?

We adapt to the currency of the country we are working in. Most often the work we do for customers is driven by insurance claims, and is relative to the country. We don’t adjust pricing. We work at prevailing.

How long will a car take to do?

We use teams of two when working storms. It all depends on amount of damage. However, we have never taken more than a day on even the hardest of damages. Often, we turn out 4-6 cars per day.

Do you speak German?

We did a six month contract in Germany in 2013. We did our best to start learning the language. Actually, we did well with it. Fluent no. Understand much of it… yes.

Are you always insurance friendly?

We have worked closely with the top insurance carriers, and actually receive a lot of referrals from adjusters in most cases.
